An Evening in Casablanca

The United Returning Citizens cordially invite you to An Evening in Casablanca, United Returning Citizen’s signature fundraising gala scheduled for October 6, 2023. This year the event will feature keynote speaker Jay Williams, President and CEO of the Hartford Foundation, and the former Mayor of Youngstown. The annual fundraising gala is an exciting occasion for URC, the people they serve, supporters, and friends to celebrate the shared mission of supporting returning citizens in our communities.

Each year, an average of 800+ people are released from incarceration in the Mahoning Valley. As individuals return to their communities, even after a short period of incarceration, they face the challenge of identifying housing, employment, education, family reunification, social supports, and medical care. URC exists to fill the gap between these needs and the resources available to support our communities.
