A DECADE OF HOPE PRESENTED BY HUNTINGTON BANK

WE ARE ACCEPTING NOMINATIONS FOR H.O.P.E. AWARD RECIPIENT 2022

Nominations for Annual Lifetime Achievement Award DUE January 14, 2022

(Youngstown, OH) The Hope Foundation of the Mahoning Valley, Huntington Bank & WKBN 27 First News “Caring for Our Community” are looking for who is Honorable. Outstanding. Philanthropic. Excellent individuals. If you know that person, nominate him/her for the 2022 H.O.P.E. Award for Lifetime Achievement. These are Honorees who have gone above and beyond to help or assist others in the Valley.

The H.O.P.E. Honorees will be recognized, and the H.O.P.E. Award recipient announced at the 10th annual Wine for Hope on Friday, April 29, 2022. The event, which will be held at Waypoint 4180 in Canfield, will feature an awards presentation highlighting the efforts of this year’s recipient to improve the quality of life of chronically/terminally ill children and their families in our community.

During this event all H.O.P.E. Honorees from the 2020 & 2022 will be recognized. 2020’s event had to be cancelled due to Covid-19. 2020 Honorees that will be honored are Amy Zell, Brandon Perry, Holly Welch & Delphine Baldwin Casey.

Past H.O.P.E. Award recipients include the late Henry Nemenz (local businessman & grocery store owner), Jack Gocala, Sr (retired Youngstown State University police chief), George Gabriel (Mahoning County Board of Developmental Disabilities), Raymond Morrow (youth advocate), Kathy Cook (St. Joseph Warren Hospital-Mercy Health) & Mike Currington (Warren Police Officer).

The Hope Foundation is grateful for the support of its partnering sponsors; Huntington Bank, American Business Center Inc., Northeast Behavioral Health, WKBN 27 First News, FOX Youngstown, MIX 98.9, Newsradio, 570 WKBN, Komara Jewelers, Lamar Advertising Company, Minuteman Press of Youngstown and Phantom Fireworks.

The Hope Foundation of the Mahoning Valley: Since 2007, our nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization has coordinated the efforts of volunteers, funding, sponsorship partners, and a dedicated board of trustees to raise more than tens of thousands of dollars to help area children who are battling chronic and terminal illnesses. We provide charitable and financial support to local families to help improve the lives of chronically/terminally ill children and their families with money raised from donations and our signature fundraisers.
