Trick-or-treat safety tips
- Carry a flashlight or glow stick, and add reflective tape to costumes.
- Cross at corners and stay on sidewalks where you can.
- Drivers: slow down and watch for kids, especially between 5 and 8 p.m.
- Only visit homes with porch lights on, and check candy before eating.
