Canfield, OH – The week of October 17-21, 2022, is National School Bus Safety Week. The week is an excellent way for parents, students, teachers, motorists, school bus operators, school administrators, and community members to join forces and address the importance of school bus safety. Canfield is observing School Bus Safety Week.
Joe Knoll, Superintendent says, “We are joining forces with local law enforcement to promote the importance of following the traffic laws, especially around our buses.” On Tuesday, October 18, 2022, law enforcement agencies will meet at the bus garage at 6:30 a.m. to participate in ride-a-longs with the bus fleet to promote school bus safety across the district.
During this week, the district reminds individuals to be cautious when in school parking lots, on sidewalks and when crossing the street near schools.
