Youngstown, OH – Sharon Letson, Executive Director of Youngstown CityScape, will be honored as “Woman of the Year” at a special event during National Business Women’s Week®, sponsored by the Youngstown Business & Professional Women. The event will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at The Lake Club, 1140 Paulin Road, Poland, OH 44514.

As Executive Director of Youngstown CityScape, Sharon has been responsible for taking the organization from a handful of volunteers to over 800 who make the city of Youngstown a more beautiful place. Sharon also has a long history of growing leaders, serving as Director of Youth Leadership Mahoning Valley for nine years prior to joining Youngstown CityScape. Sharon also serves on many area boards, including ACTION and Community Corrections, and is President of both the Rotary Club of Youngstown and the Mahoning Commons Association.

About Us

“With Youngstown CityScape celebrating its 25th year last year, and much of that growth being a direct result of the hard work Sharon has put in, we wanted to make sure she received the recognition she so well deserves. We’re so excited to be able to honor Sharon as this year’s Woman of the Year,” says Janelle Woods, YBPW President.

Proceeds from the event fund scholarships which help provide assistance to deserving women pursuing higher education in the greater Youngstown area. Cost of event tickets is $60. For more information about YBPW or to make reservations for the Woman of the Year event, contact Angela Duskey, YBPW Treasurer at ybpwboard4@gmail.com.
