Canfield High School has achieved being ranked 47th in the state of Ohio by US News & World Report. This remarkable accomplishment displays the dedication of Canfield High School’s staff, students and community to provide a top-notch educational experience that prepares students for a bright future, according to a press release sent out by the district.

The national and state rankings by US News & World Report are based on a comprehensive assessment that considers several key factors, including college readiness, college curriculum availability, state assessment proficiency and performance and student graduation rates. Canfield High School has excelled in each of these areas, providing students with a well-rounded education that prepares them for the challenges of higher education and beyond.

The release went onto say that the school’s commitment to academic excellence is evident through its Advanced Placement (AP) courses, including Calculus, Physics, US History, 2D Art Design and many more. These courses, following the curriculum set by the College Board, offer students the opportunity to earn college credit based on their performance on the final AP exam. Additionally, Canfield High School supports College Credit Plus (CCP) opportunities, allowing students to take college-level courses either on a college campus or at the high school, with the credits being transferable to a range of universities in Ohio.

“Our commitment to excellence extends beyond the walls of our classrooms. We take pride in embodying our district theme, ‘Positively Canfield,’” said Superintendent Joe Knoll. “We believe that this positive award is a testament to our efforts.”
