Howland Group Accepting Applications for Howland Achievement Hall of Fame

The Howland Achievement Hall of Fame is accepting nominations for the 2025 Honorees. This group was established with a singular mission: to recognize the outstanding contributions and accomplishments of members within the Howland Schools Community. Whether they are former students, educators, administrators, or long-standing community members, the Hall of Fame honors those who have achieved excellence in their respective fields or made significant contributions to the Howland Schools community. The inductees serve as inspirations for future generations, showcasing the impact that dedication, hard work, and community spirit can have on both personal success and collective progress.

To be eligible for induction, nominees must meet specific criteria based on their role within the Howland Schools community. Former students, teachers, or administrators must have achieved notable success in their careers, while community members must have had a lasting impact on Howland Township. The selection process is open to nominations from the public, and candidates are carefully considered by the Hall of Fame Selection Committee. The committee, made up of diverse community and school representatives, ensures that each inductee has exemplified exceptional character and service. Inductees are formally recognized during a special halftime ceremony at a Howland football game and are honored with both a commemorative plaque and a place on the permanent wall of fame at Howland High School.

The committee welcomes nominations thru April 1, 2025, and candidates can be resubmitted for up to three consecutive years, ensuring that deserving individuals are given multiple opportunities for recognition. The goal is to induct no fewer than three and no more than ten honorees each year, ensuring that every selection represents the high standards and values of the Howland Schools community.
