One of the festival’s highlights is the solemn and awe-inspiring procession, which takes place on July 16th at 10:30am. The captivating display of faith and devotion sees locals gather to honor Our Lady of Mount Carmel with prayers and hymns, as they march in a beautiful spectacle of unity and reverence.

Sports enthusiasts are in for a treat, as the festival hosts exhilarating Bocce and Morra tournaments. Participants showcase their skills, and spectators cheer for their favorite teams, fostering a sense of friendly competition and fostering lasting bonds among players and attendees alike.

Of course, no Italian celebration would be complete without a feast to remember! Festival-goers can savor a mouthwatering array of Italian delicacies, from classic pasta dishes to delectable desserts. The aroma of freshly cooked food fills the air, and the lively atmosphere encourages everyone to come together, share stories, and enjoy each other’s company.

But perhaps the most eagerly anticipated event is the famous baby doll dance, held on July 19th, 20th, and 21st at night. This unique tradition has been passed down through the years and is cherished by the locals. They adorned in traditional attire carry ornate baby doll while performing a captivating dance that embodies both joy and history. The crowd is captivated by the vibrant display of colors, music, and sheer joy, making it an unforgettable experience.

And as the festival draws to a close on its final night, a grand fireworks display will light up the sky, illuminating the hearts of all those in attendance. The fireworks symbolize the shared jubilation and excitement of the festival’s success, leaving a lasting memory in the minds of the community until the next year’s festivities.

So, mark your calendars for this coming weekend, and join the 128th Annual Lowellville Mt.
