Smoky Hollow Memorial Day Service

The 67th annual Smoky Hollow Memorial Day ceremony will be Monday, May 27 at the corner of Walnut Street and Rayen Avenue in the Smoky Hollow neighborhood in Youngstown. The ceremony will begin at 11:15am. The service honors veterans from the Smoky Hollow neighborhood who were killed in action while serving in their country.
Featured speaker is John Mascardine, US Navy veteran and Smoky Hollow native. Mascardine grew up on Adams Street in Smoky Hollow and served as president of the neighborhood’s Golden Eagle Club.
The outdoor event is open to all, people are encouraged to bring chairs and it is handicapped accessible. Refreshments will be served after the service at Yosteria at 252 Valley Street.
The event is sponsored by the Smoky Hollow Club.
