Italy: Culture and Cuisine

Mahoning Valley Cultural Alliance announces its upcoming Culture and Cuisine series that celebrates the rich diversity of cultures within the Mahoning Valley. The event, Italy: Culture and Cuisine will be held on Monday, August 7, at 5:00pm at A La Carte Catering, located at 429 Lisbon Street, Canfield, Ohio. The cost to attend is $30 for Mahoning Valley Historical Society members, and $35 for non-members.
Speaking at the event will be Dr. Martha Pallante, long time professor/chair of YSU’s History Department, currently holding the Darling Endowed Chair in History. Her Italian credentials are genuine, through her father and spanning generations. She has written and spoken widely about her Italian heritage, including work in ancestry training. She will also share some culinary stories and recipes of Italian origin.
The Culture and Cuisine series is coordinated by the Mahoning Valley Cultural Alliance, an advisory group under the umbrella of MVHS.
