After years of sharing good news, uplifting stories, and celebrating the incredible people and
organizations that make the Mahoning Valley, Northeast Ohio and beyond so special, we have
some important news to share, Spanning the Need will be wrapping up its storytelling journey at
the end of this year.
What began as a master’s program nearly six years ago has become one of the most rewarding
experiences of my life. While this chapter is coming to a close, we know this isn’t truly the end,
it’s simply a new beginning. Only God knows what lies ahead, but we trust that His plan will
guide us toward even greater things.
This journey has been one of love, purpose, and faith, made possible by you. To our readers,
supporters, friends, and family: thank you for believing in the power of good news. You gave us
the privilege to share stories of hope, compassion, and resilience that remind us all of what
makes this Valley, and its people, so extraordinary.
As we step forward in faith, we hope you’ll carry on the mission that Spanning the Need was
built upon. Continue to do good in our community. Follow the good in your hearts. Help your
neighbor. Lift someone up. Be the reason someone believes that kindness still exists.
Our hope is that the spirit of Spanning the Need will live on through every act of love, every
story shared, and every moment of hope created by people just like you.
