In the heart of the Mahoning Valley, the community will be coming together to honor and express gratitude for the brave veterans who have selflessly served their country. Local schools in the Mahoning Valley have organized a series of impactful ceremonies to pay homage to these heroes.
This engage in meaningful activities such as showcasing their appreciation and understanding of the sacrifices made. The schedule is below of local schools all over the area. These ceremonies not only serve as a testament to the community’s deep respect for its veterans but also instill a sense of patriotism and gratitude in the hearts of the younger generation.

Following breakfast (9:15 am), students and their Veterans will be invited to remain in the cafeteria for a performance by Leetonia Choirs. The ceremony will include a Veteran slide show, student readings, a guest speaker, a special musical selection by the Leetonia High School band and more! |

The program will include performances by the high school choir, student readings, a video slideshow, and guest speaker Al Schaffer, Vietnam Veteran and member of American Legion Post 76 – Sebring. Sebring B.L. Miller Elementary School (November 10th at 9:30 am) The community is invited to attend Sebring Elementary’s Veterans Day Program at its school, following its “Muffins with Mom” event from 8am to 9am. There will be student performances, a video slideshow and guest speaker Al Schaffer, Vietnam Veteran and member of American Legion Post 76 – Sebring. |

| DETAILS | Jackson Milton High School/Middle School Program begins at 9 a.m.The high school/middle school will host a special ceremony with student performances and special guest speaker Staff Sergeant Jenny Lynn Smith. All branches of the military will be honored followed by a luncheon for veterans. All local veterans and the general public are welcomed. Jackson-Milton Elementary SchoolProgram begins at 1:30 p.m.The elementary school will host a program for students in grades 3-5. These students are able to invite a veteran from their family to be honored at the program. The American Legion from Lake Milton will be assisting in the program and conduct a meet and greet with students following the program. |
