Info on Persons of the Week’s 2023

STN launched Person of the Week in 2021 to motivate our community to live a quality life. We feel that these recipients will “Inspire the Uninspired” in our community through volunteer work, business, or random acts of kindness in the workplace, at home, on the job, in the classroom, on the athletic field, or in our neighboring communities.

Last year, former WKBN Morning Anchor Chelsea Spears Caldwell was announced as the winner, voted on by the community.

The 2022 STN Inspirational Person of the Year is Chelsea Spears

“It was such an honor to be recognized by Spanning the Need and overall the community. It was such a surreal experience to be named Inspirational Person of the Year 2022 and one that I will always treasure,” stated Chelsea.

STN hopes to help create more awareness surrounding the kind acts of others that may go unrecognized. We also hope it teaches important social and emotional lessons while spotlighting those extraordinary individuals. These stories will inspire and motivate others to give back.

“This is our way of giving back to the community and recognizing the individuals and or groups that normally don’t get recognized for the things they do in the community,” stated Anthony Spano, STN.

All those who were Inspirational Person of the Week for 2023 are automatically in the running for Person of the Year. The winner will receive a prize of $500, with $250 dedicated to a charity of your choice and $250 in cash. The winner will be announced live at 7:00 pm on our Facebook, YouTube & Twitter on Tuesday, December 19, 2023.

Voting will take place at STN at https://spanningtheneed.com/vote/, and you can vote up to 10 times in 24 hours per verified individual email address, starting December 4 at 8 am. To read more about the individual nominees named Person of the Week during 2023, you can click on the red button once you get to the voting page.
