In 2022, the Cafaro Foundation gave out $122,000 to forty-one local students. This year it has increased that amount and set a new record with $133, 000 in awards this year.

Students seeking to advance their higher education will receive an unprecedented amount of financial support this year from the Cafaro Foundation.  The Foundation trustees just announced scholarship grants to 50 students, with a total value of $133,000.  The trustees selected the recipients primarily for their academic merit, while also considering the students’ financial need and the recommendations of teachers and guidance counselors.   The scholarships range in value from $2,000 to $10,000 each.

The Cafaro Foundation is a charitable entity established by the Cafaro family in loving memory of William M. Cafaro, the founder of the real estate development and management company that bears his name.  For over a half century, Mr. Cafaro, along with his wife Alyce and brother John A. Cafaro, enthusiastically supported churches, schools, hospitals and other charitable causes.  Since its inception in 1996, the Cafaro Foundation has awarded over $20 million in grants to worthy organizations and individuals.
