Last year, Apple TV+ provided PBS in October 2021 to broadcast Its the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. This year, the streamer does not look like they are going to let that happen.
Back in 2020, Apple bought all the rights to the Peanut Specials, which means that the only place to view the classics was Apple TV. For more than nearly 50 years, families have watched the beloved Peanuts gang and pass this tradition from parents to kids.
PBS Kids responded to a tweet in late September 2022 after someone questioned the program…
Regretfully, PBS does not have the rights to distribute the Peanuts specials this year. We’ll all have to watch for the Great Pumpkin in a different pumpkin patch this Halloween.

Since Apple TV+ owns the rights to the Peanut Specials, you will have to be a subscriber to gain access to the special. There has been no discussion about the other Charlie Brown specials airing on any cable tv at this time, but we will surely have updates as they we get them.
