Streetscape 2025

Youngstown CityScape will hold its annual Streetscape Planting Day on Saturday, May 31 from 9:00am until 2:00pm in downtown Youngstown. Looking for a chance to be part of tangible community development? Streetscape Day provides that and more! Last year, nearly 1,000 people supported Youngstown and the greater Valley community by landscaping public green space throughout the downtown and neighborhoods in every ward – a record for community participation.

“Downtown Youngstown’s fresh, new look mirrors the aesthetic improvements CityScape has provided for decades,” said Youngstown CityScape Executive Director, Sharon Letson. “Given the changing nature of downtown, new developments, new initiatives and plans, CityScape is excited to offer bigger and brighter streetscape possibilities. For nearly three decades, people from all over the Valley have volunteered with our organization because they appreciate the range of our partnerships and our “can do” approach. More broadly, CityScape’s projects encourage folks to come downtown to take advantage of all the city has to offer. From First Fridays, public art projects, major entertainment events, to business development, downtown is primed for community involvement now more than ever. We hope that this year you will join us for Streetscape Day and take advantage of this opportunity for grass roots participation in nurturing and celebrating our city’s central hub and gateway neighborhoods. We couldn’t do it without terrific volunteer support!”
