Stories of Mahoning Valley Immigrants

Mahoning Valley Cultural Alliance announces its upcoming Stories of Mahoning Valley Immigrants series that celebrates the rich diversity of cultures within the Mahoning Valley. The next event recognizing those who immigrated from Yemen will be held on Monday, August 5, at 5:00pm at A La Cart Catering, located at 429 Lisbon Street, Canfield. The cost to attend is $35 for Mahoning Valley Historical Society members, and $40 for non-members.

Speaking at the event will be Dr. Rashid Abdu, a native of Yemen and retired surgeon. The meal will be provided by A La Cart caterers, while cultural enrichment will be provided by Heather Abrams, a professional Middle Eastern belly dancer.
