Lit Youngstown’s First Wednesday Reader Series

Lit Youngstown’s First Wednesday Reader Series presents poet and musician Terry Murcko on Wednesday, October 4 at 7:00pm at the Westside Bowl. The performance and reading will be in the Trophy Room on the lower level, which is accessible only by steep stairs.
Murcko has set to music poems written by Northeast Ohio iconic poets E Halliman, Frank Polite, Daniel Thompson, Maj Ragain, Maggie Anderson, George Peffer, Jeanne Mahon, Mary Greer, Jim Villani, and Jjosh Cohen.
A voice in Youngstown poetry for over 40 years, Terry Murcko helped Jim Villani start PigIron Press in the ’70’s. He retired from teaching and play directing after 35 years. He is the recipient of a prize from the Robinson Jeffers Tor House Foundation, and is included in the anthology Fallen City Writers.
The First Wednesday reading in November will feature Jeremy Proehl of Michigan and Jean Reinhold of Cleveland.
