First Wednesday Reader Series

Lit Youngstown’s First Wednesday Reader Series presents poets Marion Boyer of Twinsburg, Ohio and Steve Henn of Warsaw, Indiana on Wednesday, June 4 at 7:00pm at the Westside Bowl (2617 Mahoning Ave). This reading will be downstairs in the Trophy Room, accessible only by stairs. ASL interpretation by Meagan Albani, with funding from the Raymond J. Wean Foundation. This reading is sponsored by POP! Marion Boyer has published six collections of poetry. Her collection Ice Hours won The Wheelbarrow Prize in 2023 and Poets & Writers named it “New and Noteworthy.” What Word for This also won Grayson Books chapbook prize in 2023. Boyer has participated in Lit Youngstown and teaches for Lit Cleveland.
Steve Henn wrote American Male, Guilty Prayer, and Indiana Noble Sad Man of the Year. He teaches high school English at a public school in northern Indiana.
The First Wednesday reading in July will feature Dianne Borsenik of Cleveland, Ohio & Steven Concert of Harveys Lake, Pennsylvania.
