First Fridays – September

Wrap up the end of summer with First Fridays September! First Fridays is a free event held at locations throughout downtown to kick off the beginning of each month. Head downtown on Friday, September 6, from 4:00pm-8:00pm, and be part of the experience – music, entertainment, networking, delicious food, drink specials, shopping, art exhibits, family-oriented activities, and so much more! A free concert, Party on the Lawn featuring Tribute to Elton John and Billy Joel, will be held at The Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre.
During First Fridays on September 6, on and near Phelps Street in downtown Youngstown, there will be a free Chalk the Walk Contest from 3-7pm (Judging at 7pm – prizes to be announced). Chalk Art Creation area for children and families hosted by Students Motivated by the Arts from 4-8pm. A limited amount of Chalk will be provided by The Butler Institute of American Art & Students Motivated by the Arts. Please BYOC (Bring your own water-based chalk) if possible!
