Bites and Bits of History
November 16, 2023 @ 12:00 pm EST
The Mahoning Valley has more than 13,000 years of human history, beginning with indigenous people. Some of the indigenous peoples of this area include Miamis, Mingos, Chippewas, and Shawnees. Their land and ancestry is a significant part of the history of the Valley.
Join Mahoning Valley Historical Society on Thursday, November 16 at noon for the monthly Bites and Bits of History at Tyler History Center. This month, MVHS Executive Director, Bill Lawson will be discussing land acknowledgements and the people who called this area home with a focus on those during the 17th and 18th centuries.
Bring your lunch and join them in the Tyler History Center’s Thomas Ballroom for this free educational event. Bites and Bits of History Lunchtime programs are sponsored by the John and Loretta Hynes Foundation.
