Bites and Bits of History
October 19, 2023 @ 12:00 pm EDT
The Ursuline Sisters have been an integral part of Youngstown since 1874. They are teachers, counselors, social workers, administrators, and spiritual directors just to name a few of the ways Sisters have contributed to building our Valley. Their mission is to advocate for all in recognizing their humanity and divinity as laid out from St. Angela Merici, their founder in 1535.
Join Mahoning Valley Historical Society on Thursday, October 19 at noon for the monthly Bites and Bits of History at Tyler History Center. This month, Sister Mary McCormick of the Ursuline Sisters of Youngstown will be discussing their history and legacy of 150 years of dedicated community and gospel service.
Bring your lunch and join us in the Tyler History Center’s Thomas Ballroom for this free educational event. Bites and Bits of History Lunchtime programs are sponsored by the John and Loretta Hynes Foundation.
