Amazing History Race

Grab your team and race around the Valley discovering its rich history! The Mahoning Valley Historical Society will have its annual Amazing History Race on Friday, August 8 from 5:00pm-7:30pm.

This scavenger-hunt-meets-road-trip will test your knowledge of local history. Meet at 250 E. Federal Street at 5:00pm on Friday, August 8, then you and your team will begin your vehicular adventure at 5:30. Prior to setting out, you will receive a set of clues directing you to six different historic sites spread throughout the Mahoning Valley.

First one back with all of the sites correctly identified wins the coveted Amazing History Race trophy. You’ll need a smart phone or digital camera to record your Race landmarks. Racers will end up back at Tyler History Center, where MVHS staff and volunteers will check your photos. After that, stick around for a pizza party with soft drinks, snacks, and water provided.

The cost is $8 per person; $6 for seniors 60+ and students ages 5-13. Children age 4 and under are free.
