Hope Foundation Announces 2025 Lifetime Achievement Honorees

The Hope Foundation of the Mahoning Valley is proud to announce the 2025 H.O.P.E. Honorees for this year’s Wine for Hope.  Presented by Boak and Sons and Sam & Donna Boak, the 2025 H.O.P.E. Award for Lifetime Achievement will be announced at the 13th Anniversary Wine for Hope on Friday, April 11th at Waypoint 4180 in Canfield, Ohio. These individuals will be recognized for their efforts of donating their time and resources to improve the quality of life of children and families in our community.


2025 Honorees:

  • Bernadette Bilick, NEO Children’s Rehabilitation Center
  • Pamela Brown, Community Corrections Association
  • John Crowder, Newton Falls Exempted Village Schools
  • Cheryl Ryan, Struthers City Schools
  • James Sutman, Golden String, Inc.

Past H.O.P.E. Award recipients include the late Henry Nemenz (local businessman & grocery store owner), Jack Gocala, Sr. (retired Youngstown State University police chief), George Gabriel (Mahoning County Board of Developmental Disabilities), Raymond Morrow (youth advocate), Kathy Cook (St. Joseph Warren Hospital-Mercy Health), Mike Currington (Warren Police Officer), Holly Welch (Austintown Local Schools), Dr. Ronald Dwinnells (ONE Health Ohio), Brenda Rider (RoCck Children’s Choir) and Amber Bonilla (Struthers City Schools).

Event sponsorships, reserved table and single ticket seating are available by contacting The Hope Foundation at info@hopemv.org / 330.728.2669, Jackie Rizer (330) 502-5724 OR by going to www.hopemv.org/wine. Tickets to the event are $75 per person or $550 for a table of 8 & $90 after March 28.

Guests will enjoy a full dinner, wine tasting in a commemorative glass, entertainment, and an awards ceremony. All proceeds from the event, including a silent auction and raffle baskets, will help better the lives of chronically and terminally ill children in the Mahoning Valley.
