Friday, December 15, The Hope Foundation of the Mahoning Valley delivered an early dose of holiday magic to 20 deserving kids through its Dream Catchers for Kids Program. The heartwarming event saw volunteers from the Mahoning County Board of Developmental Disabilities (MCBDD) and Hope Foundation board members presenting Christmas presents to 10 children from Potential Development and 10 from Leonard Kritz School, according to a press release by the foundation.

The DreamCatchers for KidsTM program (Wish Fund) strives to make the dreams of children facing disabilities, chronically/terminally ill, and life-threatening medical conditions come true by providing them with extraordinary experiences. Special thank you to Jeannine Baker (MCBDD), who worked tirelessly to assist the Hope Foundation this holiday season to ensure that the children from Potential Development and Leonard Kritz School had a memorable and joyous Christmas.

“We believe in bringing hope and joy to the lives of children who are bravely battling medical conditions. The DreamCatchers for KidsTM program allows us to create magical moments that provide respite from their challenges and inspire them to dream big,” said Rey Esparra, Board Member of The Hope Foundation of the Mahoning Valley.

The 20 children selected for this special holiday surprise were treated to personalized gifts that catered to their unique interests and wishes. The Foundation’s commitment to making a difference in the lives of these children goes beyond the material gifts – they aim to create lasting memories that bring smiles and happiness during a challenging time.

In addition to the joyous gift-giving event, The Hope Foundation continues to work tirelessly to raise funds and awareness for its various programs, providing crucial support to children and families facing the daunting challenges of chronic and life-threatening medical conditions.

The Hope Foundation expresses its deepest gratitude to the volunteers, donors, and community members who make events like these possible. Their generosity and commitment to the cause enable the Foundation to fulfill its mission of bringing hope and joy to children in need.
