National Teacher Appreciation Day, also known as National Teacher Day, is always the Tuesday of the first full week in May. This year, that will Tuesday, May 3rd. The National Education Association describes national Teacher Day “as a day for honoring teachers and recognizing the lasting contributions they make to our lives.” Teachers play a critical role in educating and shaping our children who will become the future leaders of our country. These kind, patient, hard-working, dedicated and understanding professionals help to mold our children and guide them in positive directions.
“We will be honoring local teachers in our area,” stated Anthony Spano. And Spanning the Need will have Scott DiMauro, President of the Ohio Education Association, on the podcast on Monday, May 2, at 6:00pm, to discuss Teacher Appreciation Week, education and other topics.
