[YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO] — Mahoning County Children Services has at any given time, 200-300 children placed in foster care. The Agency is facing a shortage of licensed foster homes especially for foster caregivers who can accommodate sibling groups, teens and emergency foster care placements for youth entering foster care.

The Agency is hosting a “Learn How to Become a Licensed Foster Parent Informational Session” via ZOOM. Anyone interested in learning more about fostering and becoming a licensed foster parent for Mahoning County children is invited to register and attend the VIRTUAL Zoom Session.
During the Zoom Session, attendees will learn more about the fostering and adopting process and requirements, meet the Agency’s Foster/Adoption Teams and a current licensed Mahoning County Foster Parent.
Space is limited. Registration is REQUIRED. There is no cost to participate in the virtual event.
