More than 230 quality craftspeople and artisans will gather on October 10-11 and 17-18\, 2026 from 9:00am-5:00pm at the Shaker Woods grounds in nearby Columbiana. In a manicured\, wooded setting\, juried costumed crafters will have their booths decorated in an old-fashioned holiday theme. The exhibitors will demonstrate their crafts and sell a wide selection of handmade holiday items\, as well as traditional crafts. The level grounds feature gravel footpaths for easy walking and access to acres of free parking. Traditional crafters include candle makers\, leatherworkers\, woodworkers and doll makers. Hand-thrown pottery and iron and stone work will also be available. Holiday craft items\, decorations and handcrafted Christmas ornaments are featured\, in addition to holiday clothing\, wreaths and floral arrangements. A delicious selection of food—from made-daily donuts and mouth-watering cobbler to freshly cut french fries and homemade bean soup—is sure to please most appetites. Plus three stages of live entertainment. \nOld-Fashioned Christmas in the Woods was ranked #1 of the “Top 100 Best Classic & Contemporary Craft Shows” in the September 2020 issue\, September 2022\, September 2023 and most recently in the September 2025 issue\, of Sunshine Artist\, America’s Premier Arts and Craft Show Magazine. DESCRIPTION:The Healthy Community Partnership\, the Mercy Health Stepping Out Program\, Youngstown State University Campus Recreation\, Bikeshare Youngstown\, Thrive Mahoning Valley and YoGo Bike Share are excited to announce the launch of Move the Valley\, a new\, expanded version of the longtime Walk the Valley initiative. \nWalk the Valley has hosted the Walk Wednesday walking series at Wean Park since 2023. With new community partners\, a new location and a new name\, Move the Valley is launching the new Move at the Market walking group which will replace Walk Wednesdays at the Downtown Youngstown Farmers Market\, which is held every 2nd and 4th Thursday beginning at 4:00pm-7:30pm. Walkers will meet out front of the Main Branch of The Public Library of Youngstown & Mahoning County at 5:00pm from late April through October for a 1 mile walk around downtown to return to the Market. \nAll participants in the walk will return to the Downtown Youngstown Farmers Market at the end of the walk. The first 20 walkers will receive $5 vouchers\, redeemable exclusively at the Downtown Youngstown Farmers Market\, to encourage them to support the local vendors and incentivize their participation in Move the Valley activities.
