May 29 @ 10:00 am EDT

The 119th Memorial Day Parade hosted by Boardman Kiwanis Club will begin at 10:00am on Monday, May 29 at Boardman Center Intermediate School on Market Street and will proceed north to US Route 224, then head east to Boardman Township Park. There will be a program honoring our Veterans immediately following the parade at the Maag Outdoor Amphitheater. Plus, don’t miss the landing of a Black Hawk Helicopter! Boardman native LTC Christopher Dobozy will pilot the Parade flyover in a Black Hawk helicopter, with plans to land in Boardman Park and have both pilots participate in the Service.
Keynote speaker will be United States Congressman 6th District Bill Johnson. Mr. Johnson is a United States Air Force Veteran and our community’s U.S. Congressman. Ms. Lauren Johnson will lead the Invocation. Lt. Colonel Bill Moss, USAF Retired, will lead the Pledge of Allegiance and place a wreath in honor of our deceased Veterans. The Boardman High School National Honor Society President MacKenzie Kelso will place a wreath in honor of our currently serving military personnel. Mr. Mark Luke of the Boardman Kiwanis Club will serve as Master of Ceremonies. Music for the Service will be provided by The Boardman High School Wind Ensemble conducted by Mr. Tom Ruggieri as well as the Boardman High School Chorus conducted by Linda Smrek.
In the event of rain, the service will be held in the Boardman Center Intermediate School Auditorium at 10:00am.
